Executive and Advisory Boards

Positions are available for Smart Energy Planet’s Executive and Advisory Boards.  Current members and applicants are persons or organizational leaders with a passion for Green Building.

Our Boards bring their experience and expertise to bare by realizing growth and sustainability is the intersection of practices and policies that are in the best interest of our environment, economy and society.


Executive Board Officers and Directors:

Dave contracted energy renovations for 30 years and served the industry as president of the California Building Performance Association before starting GreenEarthEquities in 2008.  He performs deep energy retrofits on foreclosed homes and and is building an Army of Energy-Wise Investors to do the same.  In 2012 Dave received the Building Performance Industry’s Tony Woods Award for Excellence in Advancing the Home Performance Industry.  The award recognizes the individual who has most advanced the home performance industry over the past year. As the principal of GreenEarthEquities, his Green Industry seminars and classes, columns and weekly webinars provide proven insights into the nuts and bolts of profitable energy-wise house flipping and buy and hold strategies utilizing the latest Green Building tools and technology.

Mark operated a real estate and property management business from 1980-2000. He rehabilitated approximately 120 apartment units and houses. He’s a certified CHEERS Rater. He formed and managed several NPO operations. He’s exhibited expertise in program funding, development and project management. Grant writer and instructor. He’s an Innovative, skilled problem solver, with a demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and obtain governmental and other funding for community based projects. His passions include affordable housing, economic development, education, and employment services specifically for low income individuals and families. His perspective has been shaped by a unique combination of private sector/non-profit experience, and an entrepreneurial mind set, experience and skills.

Rob’s a painting contractor 1990-present. He’s administrative consultant to GreenEarthEquities a nationally recognized energy-wise renovation company with expertise in program development and management.  He’s demonstrate proven capability in non profit leadership, community outreach and support. He posses dynamic communication and media skills.  He’s served as a political consultant to statewide initiatives, spoken to tens of thousands as well as conducted dozens of T.V. and radio appearances. His passions include writing, graphics and website design.

Luelle’s exercises oversight of annual low income weatherization accounts ($1,000,000 to $5,000,000) with PG&E, Sacramento Municipal Utility District and Southern California Gas and Electric. She’s a partner with Dave Robinson in Renaissance Weatherization Inc. and GreenEarthEquities with demonstrable fiscal management. She possess administrative people skills developed over decades in energy efficient residential and commercial construction and has a proven success record in a variety of entrepreneurial endeavors

Jack’s a 42 year veteran- president of the SMI Eco-Fund and co-managing partner and president of Sierra Mortgage Investments, LP (REIT) and co-managing partner of Frokaykel, a real estate development company. He is a past owner and president of a full service mortgage banking company with experience in mortgage lending and executive management, real estate investments and property management. His  financial services include strategic marketing and business development. He is dedicated to the development of affordable, Green, and energy-efficient housing and was appointed by the Citrus Heights City Council to serve as representative on the Sacramento Human Rights-Fair Housing Commission. Jack is a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity of Sacramento.

Sundong is a green home consultant providing services to homeowners to make their homes healthier, more comfortable and energy efficient.  She is a former teacher introduced to Green Remodeling through upgrades to her own home.  She’s the founder of the Green Remodel Forum, an educational website featuring healthy homes, sustainable materials, green products, and energy wise information for homeowners and professionals.  Sundong is a Certified Green Building Professional (Build It Green), member of the US Green Building Council, Passive House California and Green America.

Debra is a nationally recognized Residential Sustainability Consultant. A licensed California Residential Appraiser, she’s also a designated BPI Certified Building Analyst and Designated Green Point Rater with Build It Green.  An active sustainable building advocate, she’s a published author and Seminar presenter—“Valuation of green assets in Homes” and owner/builder of her own high performance home in 2007.

Ed’s the founder and owner—Design Windows and Exteriors, Inc.  He has 30 years of green building experience and expertise focusing on Energy Efficient Home Improvements, including the  development of innovative methods of door and window installation. Currently an ordained minister, he works with homeless and needy populations by studying social needs and developing plans to provide training, employment and other opportunities.
